Introducing “Loops,” our new outreach plan to encourage more project submissions!
The question we hear most often from registered finishers is: “How long until I get a project?” We get it—our finishers are eager to give their time doing the crafts they love, and generosity feels amazing for everyone involved.
Right now, we have nearly 34,000 finishers signed up, but the project-to-finisher ratio holds steady at 1:12. To bridge that gap, we’re introducing a new outreach initiative called Loops—as in “a connecting force,” “keeping people in the loop,” “looping folks in,” and yes, a wink to our logo.
Starting September 2025, we’re piloting Loops by partnering with a group of regional volunteers to help with outreach and fundraising in their local communities.
We are kicking things off with a mini-pilot in Maine, September - November.
Then, in January, we’ll expand to a larger pilot in three states.
Live in Maine and want to be part of our pilot? Fill out this form.
Live outside of Maine, but still want to help with outreach right away? We’d love that!
Here are some things you can do immediately.
Download our flyer and share it in your community, in places that would reach folks with unfinished projects: hospice centers, care homes, senior centers, libraries, and agencies that serve people with disabilities or illnesses. Dropping by in person with printed copies is ideal.
Contact local media and share our organization’s mission with them. We can provide stories from your state (or country) to make your pitch more compelling and relevant. Our media kit is here, including our press release.
Post about Loose Ends on your social media, comment on relevant posts, tagging Loose Ends, and talk about our mission with your friends and family.
Make sure your own projects are organized and, if you think you’d like us to step in and help should you be unable someday, make sure our info is in your crafting bag so your loved ones can find us, should they need to.
